I volunteer here, and I love the Montshire. It has a really fun, child friendly atmosphere and most of the exhibits are hands on. The Discovery Lab on the second floor is another great place for kids and parents to get some hands on experience with a science activity!
Exhibits and displays change periodically, giving you a good variety of puzzles, animals, tools and fun at any time. Water park area is fun but all hard stone, so beware of falls. Staff is incredibly helpful and nice.
Children, Parents and Grandparents alike had a wonderful time. I have been a few times with my family and enjoyed how the exhibits change. It's a great place to explore science with with my children and the hands on exhibits are exceptional. The activities are well thought out, educational and fun. Every employee I have interacted with has been kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
Kids and adults are curious. There’s so much to explore here, with a relaxed vibe. The curators and instructors do a good job at Montshire will a range of fun stuff and science stuff and puzzling stuff and nature stuff. Find a less crowded time, be sure to go on the walks outside to get your body as well as your minds active, and bank on a good 3+ hours of hands-on #STEM time. My daughter loves the Montshire, and my husband and I like it too. Our membership has paid for itself several times. The new toy exhibit upstairs was a big hit, and in the summer months the outside splash pad is excellent. We plan on renewing!
